Deborah Studyvin is a journal for home improvement and property. Honest guides for the curious homeowner, written by tradespeople and former agents, not salesmen.
Who we are
We are a small crew of carpenters, designers and property professionals who got tired of brochures pretending to be advice. Deborah Studyvin started in 2021 as a shared notebook of job-site lessons. Today it reaches thousands of monthly readers planning renovations, purchases and repairs.
Our mission
We make home decisions cheaper and clearer. Every week we publish free news and buying guides on our five sections: Home Renovation, Interior Design, Real Estate, Construction Services and Property Maintenance. You get real 2026 prices, material lists and contractor checks you can act on.
Editorial standards
No sponsored picks, no pay-to-rank lists. We buy at retail what we test, disclose relationships, and correct mistakes in public within 48 hours. Numbers come from supplier quotes, permit offices and published cost data, never from press releases. If a product or method fails in real use, we say so. Our ethics follow the guidance published by the Society of Professional Journalists.
The team
Deborah Studyvin (renovation planning), Marcus Hale (construction and permits), Elena Ruiz (interior design), Priya Nair (real estate) and Tom Whitaker (property maintenance). Supported by contributing tradespeople who review every guide before it ships.
